I decided a little while ago that I wanted to start helping entertainers (musicians and bands in specific) use Web 2.0 to its fullest, and help them make stronger relationships with their fans. In fact, I think it was the post I wrote about Moxy Früvous that really pushed me in this direction.
Well, yesterday, I was at the Canadian Marketing Association’s yearly marketing convention, and managed to make a pretty strong announcement using only the business card I designed and an empty trade show table. Check out the picture:
I’ve also uploaded the full-rez image of the business card to the soon-to-come website, so you can check that out at twonotesahead.com. More details about that in the near future.
One last thing: I wanted to send out some link love to some of the great people I met at the show. In no particular order, there was:
- Seth Godin of Squidoo (social information website)
- Leslie Ehm of 27 Marbles (marketing education)
- Erica Lam of The Style Spy (blog about Vancouver fashion)
- Kevin Bensette and John McTrusty of Questback (survey tool)
- Cameron Stuckey of Prinova (document design and delivery)
- Jeanette Soo and Scott Bartley of The CMA (see above)
- Mitch Joel of TwistImage (digital media marketing)
- Douglas Walker of Venture Communications (communications firm)
Posts get back to musical reality before tomorrow morning!

I should probably add, for full disclosure, that I used colours from Iota’s “Classic” palette. They’re a fantastic stationery company, and I’m graphically challenged, so it was a great match.
Giving them some link-love too:
